A FEW OF THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

All of our Pulse Building Inspectors have the essential skills and knowledge to carry out your inspection – they know how buildings go together and how they can fall apart! They are happy to explain their findings and answer your questions so you can make an informed decision about your purchase or construction project. We have also developed our own custom-built inspection report that can be completed on-site via an iPad, so you can be assured that it incorporates all the essential elements and photos needed for a thorough inspection.
Our Pulse Building Inspections are professionals within the building industry, which means we have actual on-site experience. Collectively, our team of property inspectors have extensive building experience and we receive ongoing training as products and building construction techniques constantly change.
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on the services we provide. We are also covered by $1m professional indemnity insurance and $5m Public Liability.

Call now so that our Pulse Building Inspections team can organise everything to meet your requirements. Our communication between clients and sales agents or vendors is exceptional. We can organise same day inspections if needed.
Approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the size and condition of the house.
Our report covers about 250 items on the house, including structural elements both inside and out, the wet areas, water pressure, hot water service, roof and gutters, insulation, etc. We also check for safety switches and smoke detectors.
You are welcome to meet the Building Inspector on site near the end of the house inspection, i.e. about 45-60 minutes after the inspection appointment time as this gives us time to systematically inspect the structure and test items and systems on the property in accordance the NZ Standard 4306:2005.
If you are available to meet on site, the Building Inspector can go through the report verbally immediately after the inspection and clarify each point raised. If you are not able to meet on site, the inspector will phone you after you receive the report and go through the report verbally. In both situations, the Inspector will email you the report.
