Methamphetamine

Purchasing a property is often the largest financial decision you will make. Unfortunately, many purchasers fail to check for the presence of methamphetamine prior to going unconditional. This often leads to high costs with decontamination, often all undertaken without insurance cover.

It is a known carcinogenic and is responsible for progressive scarring of lung tissue and mesothelioma – a cancer in the lining of the chest cavity (the pleura) or, less commonly the lining of the abdominal cavity (the peritoneum).

Many sufferers of mesothelioma have worked in situations where they inhaled asbestos particles, or they have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways; for example by washing the clothes of a family member who has worked with asbestos, or by renovating using asbestos cement products and the DIY renovator.

It therefore makes a lot of sense requesting an Express Asbestos Inspection if there is any suspicion of asbestos in your home or if you are unsure of the condition of the existing asbestos, for example in the roofing.
